Ever wanted to find a way to combine social life, fitness, and some of that gorgeous Philadelphia scenery? Well, the Unite Philly Run offers you a fun and free way to kick off the fall season into the next, healthier gear. As a proud sponsor of the event, vybe urgent care has all of the details you’ll need to get involved.
This “fitness scavenger hunt” isn’t your normal 5K. As you run, you’ll be making workout pit stops at some of Philly’s most iconic landmarks. Think of it as an urban obstacle course. Last year’s race included the classic Rocky run up the stairs of the Art Museum, exercises along the Schuylkill River Trail, steps up and down the Logan Circle Fountain, and much more.
Sounds like a good time, right? Here’s how you can register for the run:
- Sign up on Unite’s website. There’s no cost, but you can make a donation to The Carbon Fund (for reforestation) or Third Millennium Alliance for rainforest protection if you like— you even get a pretty sweet free tee shirt if you do that!
- Once you’ve RSVPd, get to training!
- On the day of the run, head over to Unite’s Rittenhouse location (26 S. 20th St, Philadelphia, PA) where we’ll be kicking things off with a block party to get you warmed up and ready to run.
Bonus: If you have a furry friend bring them along, too! Dogs are always welcome to join you on the Unite Run trail!
With plenty of company, some great views, and fun activity stops along the way, the Unite Philly Run is a great way to explore Philly while practicing physical fitness and connecting with some of your fitness-minded neighbors.
Need we say more? Join us on the run, September 20th at 6pm! Come early to join us for a pre-race block party and stay afterwards for another one at the same location.
The vybe trybe will be present and active. If you need urgent care, you’ll find comfort in the fact that our Center City location is just a few short blocks away from the race start and finish line. We’re all walk-in, all the time, so don’t worry about having to wait to use our services, we’ll be there for you in a flash.
Stay tuned all month long as we offer preparation tips for the big run.
