Routine Tests

UTI. Strep. STD. We’ve got the test.

We can probably all remember tests in school.  They weren’t much fun, especially if you spent hours preparing and still didn’t get a decent grade.  There’s good news at vybe – our tests require no preparation, and some tests, called “rapid” tests, you can get your results immediately and start on the road to recovery.

At vybe, we provide many routine testing options.  The doctors at vybe urgent care are able to give you an evaluation to ensure the tests you’re given address all your areas of concern.

Rapid Diagnostic Tests

A rapid diagnostic test is used to test bodily fluid. With this test, you can get same-day results, even during your appointment.

  • Urine Tests
A urine test can help determine many different conditions, including urinary tract infections, kidney disease, and diabetes.  Your diagnosis will determine the proper treatment by a trained medical professional.
  • Flu Tests
A rapid flu test is used to determine if you have the flu and if so, the particular strain.  This test can include a swab test of your nose or throat and a nasal saline spray. Those who are at a higher risk of getting the flu may have a distracted immune system, be pregnant, or are over 65 or under age 5.
  • Strep Tests
A rapid strep test, like a flu test, determines if you have strep throat. This test typically includes a swab test of the throat and can also be followed up with a strep culture.
  • Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
Symptoms of a UTI may include a strong urge to urinate, a burning sensation, frequent urination, and the passing of less urine each time.

Other non-rapid tests we offer include:

  • Sexually Transmitted Disease Screenings (STDs)
STD testing can diagnose a number of sexually transmitted diseases, including chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and HIV, among others.
  • Drug Tests
There are many reasons employers may require a drug screening, including workplace safety, work quality, and lower health insurance costs.  The drug test may vary based on how drugs in your system could affect the work you do.  Frequent test types are saliva, urine, hair, and blood.
