Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Pop-up Clinic work?

There are a few simple steps to make your visit to our Pop-up Clinic safe and easy.

Step 1 – schedule a telemedicine/video appointment.

Step 2 – complete your online registration and video visit.

Step 3 – visit the vybe Pop-up Clinic on the day of the event.  The vybe team will be on site to direct you where to go and, when it’s your turn, you’ll step up onto the mobile unit and get your test. A vybe team member will be on the other side of a plexiglass divider and will reach out to administer your test. When you’re done, that’s it! You can leave and check back on our patient portal for your test results.

Is the Pop-up Clinic safe?

Yes, we follow all of the same guidelines and protocols recommended by the CDC in our Mobile Pop-up Clinic as we use in our centers. These are outdoor events, and we’ll be asking patients to wear a mask and maintain social distance during the check-in process and while awaiting the test.

Which type of COVID-19 test is offered?

The Mobile Testing Truck offers the diagnostic nasal swap (PCR test), which determines if you’re actively infected with COVID-19. You can read more about the different types of tests here. If you would like to take a different test, please visit one of our centers.

Do I need an appointment to visit the Pop-up Clinic?

Yes.  The appointment you’re scheduling is for a video visit BEFORE you visit our Pop-up Clinic.   This helps expedite your test, and allows us to plan a safe event.

  • Book your appointment
  • Complete your registration forms online
  • Complete your video visit from the comfort of home
  • Visit the vybe mobile clinic for your test

We will have a limited number of walk-up tests available on a first come basis. Once you schedule your appointment, please look for an email with details about how to complete your registration online. By doing this prior to the day of your test, you’ll be ready to get tested when you arrive for your appointment.

What if I don't make an appointment to visit the Pop-up Clinic?

We strongly recommend an appointment.  We cannot estimate patient volume on any given date, and apologize in advance if we are unable to see walk-up patients due to existing appointments or limited supplies.

If you choose to visit a testing event without an appointment and we’re able to see you, our staff will check you in and arrange for a consultation with one of our clinicians prior to administering your test.

Is the test covered by insurance?

Yes, a visit to the vybe Pop-up Clinic is covered by insurance and in most cases may be covered 100% (no out of pocket expense after being reimbursed) as mandated by the CARES Act. If you don’t have insurance, you may qualify for the HRSA uninsured program. vybe collects your test as part of your visit fee, and lab charges are separate. Learn more about payment options here.

Is the Pop-up Clinic open rain or shine?

Yes, both the staff and testing areas are covered, so we operate in all weather. In the event of particularly bad weather that would delay or cancel testing, we will post updates on this page, and notify any patients that have scheduled appointments during that time.
