Frequently Asked Questions

Is the testing center safe?

Yes, we follow all of the same guidelines and protocols recommended by the CDC in our testing centers as we use in our full urgent care centers.  Although your visit should be brief, we ask patients to wear a mask (we have them) at all times and to maintain social distance during the check-in process and while awaiting the test.

Which type of COVID-19 test is offered?

PCR lab tests, rapid antigen, and antibody tests are available at all locations. Rapid RT-PCR tests are only available at the below locations:

Do I need an appointment to visit the testing center?

No, appointments are not required, but you may make one if you’d like. If you do schedule an appointment, please look for text with details about how to complete your registration online. By doing this prior to the day of your test, you’ll be ready to get tested when you arrive for your appointment.

Is the test covered by insurance?

The rapid tests are considered screenings (without a doctor visit) for patients who do not have symptoms or any fear of exposure.  For this reason, they are not covered by insurance.  The self-pay cost for rapid antigen tests is $75 and rapid PCR tests are $99. Non-rapid tests are covered by insurance in most cases, however, we recommend confirming with your insurance carrier beforehand.

What should I do if I start to have COVID-19 symptoms?

If you become ill with COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, muscle aches and fatigue), we recommend a clinician evaluation and testing with a COVID PCR test. To arrange for this, you should click here to schedule an appointment for a Video Visit with a vybe clinician.  Please remain in strict isolation until the PCR result is available for interpretation.
