Camp physicals
at vybe urgent care

Great care is even better when it’s at a great price. From June 1–July 21, camp physicals at vybe are $40* (regularly $50). Even if your child’s camp doesn’t require a physical, come on in! It’s always a good idea to ensure your child has a clean bill of health and is ready to take on whatever summer has in store.

Why camp physicals are important.

A camp physical helps to minimize your child’s risk for potential illnesses or injuries while away from home. During a camp physical, a vybe clinician will screen your child for new and pre-existing medical conditions that could affect them while participating in camp activities. In addition, the physical will inform the camp’s staff of your child’s health, allowing them to be on the lookout for situations or activities that could impact your child’s health, safety, or well-being.

Some camps require children to have a physical before the start of camp to ensure that they’re healthy enough to participate in activities like hiking, swimming, canoeing, and other summer sports.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do all camps require a physical?

While not every camp may require one, most camps require kids to get a physical before they can attend for liability reasons. Even if a physical is not required for your child to attend camp, it’s still a good idea to get one to ensure there are no physical limitations and they don’t have any conditions that could put others at risk for illnesses or injuries.

What do I need to bring to a camp physical?

Please print out and bring all required forms or any other paperwork required by the camp. If there are fields that need to be filled out by a parent, they should be completed prior to the physical exam. Also, please bring any necessary medical records and vaccine history for the clinician to review.

What happens at a camp physical?

During your child’s camp physical, a vybe clinician will:

• Review of your child’s medical records and family history
• Check vital signs, height, and weight
• Provide medication authorization, if needed
• Advise on any dietary restrictions or physical activity limitations
• Perform a vaccine review

When should I bring my child in for a camp physical?

To ensure that your child has enough time to get any required immunizations, or take care of any possible health concerns that may be uncovered, try to complete your child’s camp physical a week or two before camp starts.
