A chat with William Jantsch MD, vybe Physician:
For vybe urgent care Physician William Jantsch, going into medicine was a calling. But it isn’t solely his life’s work that defines him – it’s his family, his hobbies, and everything else he takes a dive in to below!
Why did you decide to work in healthcare?
For me, the decision to go into medicine was truly a calling. I can’t imagine doing anything else. I get my greatest sense of accomplishment and purpose in being of service to others. After 40 years, I do not regret that decision in the least.
What’s your favorite area of Philadelphia?
Center City, definitely! Culture, restaurants, never a dull moment!
What’s your favorite Philly sports team or event?
Sorry, I’m not a sports person. I vaguely have the awareness that there are professional sports teams in the city, but I have no emotional investment in any of them.
What’s your favorite workout song?
I run several times a week along the Delaware River at Penn’s Landing. Since I have to cross streets, I don’t listen to music during exercise.
What’s on your bucket list?
I’ve already done enough. Peace and quiet are what I look forward to, along with getting to know my grandchildren better.
What show do you binge-watch?
My wife and I like to watch programs from the BBC on Acorn Channel.
How do you find your vybe? (How do you stay healthy?)
A) Don’t eat much. Mostly vegetables.
B) Ignore “A” occasionally.
